Our school capatains and students of Moruya High School attended our National Sorry Day Bridge Walk in Batemans Bay on Monday 26 May. Each year our local community comes together to acknowledge this sombre day and walk together in unity.
This year saw even more numbers of students and general public gathered on the foreshores of the Clyde River to watch a beautiful cultural performance by a local indigenous dance group, and listen to elders speak of the traumatic events associated with their removal from family and culture, but spoke of kindness and hope that that we are 'Bridging- now to the next'.
