Our Boys Volleyball team represented MHS with pride to beat Narooma HS in a gripping round 1 final of the CHS Volleyball gala day competition held at Monaro HS in Cooma. Captain Takahi N set, served, and scrambled his way to victory with great focus throughout the tournament. Vice-Captain Oscar H dominated the net. Hitters Deegan M and Julian W executed some fabulous and powerful spikes to finish crucial points in several matches. Josh G played with determination and scrambled hard to return balls that seemed impossible to get to. Max V was solid on the receive and served well. Cohen B pulled off some brilliant tips which found the floor and left the opposition bedazzled. Jerome E was congratulated by all of his teammates after serving a consecutive 7 points to secure victory over Bombala HS. Phoenix S was solid as always finding the perfect trajectory with his serve. Keenan M was fast on the spike as he put some balls over the net that weren’t coming back. Bradley H did his job and was a presence to consider at the net.
Composure, preparation, and determination is what won us the tournament and you all deserve to feel proud of yourselves. Further challenges await in round 2 at Bomaderry in term 2 week 6. Enjoy your Volleyball.
