On Monday students in years 9-12 travelled to Tathra to play in the Far South Coast open girls soccer gala day. We travelled together on our school bus and arrived to a beautiful, though unseasonably warm, day in the seaside town, ready to debut our new soccer kit! We had a blistering win in our first game against Braidwood Central School 7-1, with goals to Lucas, Charlee and Tyra and 2 goals each to Bianca & Hunter.
Our second game against Bega saw us score a handful of minutes into the match and then Bega levelled up. We were able to get a second goal which was met once again with a goal from Bega. Locked at 2 all, Bega's strong side scored two more goals. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to stage a comeback and lost the game 4-2. While we were hopeful of a better outcome, the girls demonstrated great attitudes on and off the field and should be proud of their individual achievements on the day. Thank you to Frank for driving the bus and for the celebratory honking of the bus horn for each goal!
