Students in Year 8 Geography had the opportunity to make their own board games on liveability to conclude the Place and Liveability topic. Over two lessons students designed the game, cards and relevant instructions. In the third lesson students got to play the game with their peers. Creating board games helps students develop critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills as they design and refine game mechanics. The activity reinforces subject knowledge by requiring them to integrate concepts in an engaging and hands-on way.
