Getting to the Heart of it

Year 8 science students have been investigating different body systems. They undertook a heart dissection to enhance their understanding of the circulatory system. After incisions were made to reveal the 4 chambers of the heart and internal structures such as heart strings, students used tweezers and string to outline the path of blood through the major blood vessels and heart chambers.
