Students in Year 10 LEAP recently travelled to Canberra to experience a range of enrichment activities related to PDHPE. On the first day students started at the University of Canberra where they learnt about the Vo2 Max test, then attended the Australian Insititute of Health and Welfare to learn about how health data is used. On the second day students started with an Ice bath and compression therapy to better understand recovery strategies, before moving on to apply biomechanical principles in Ten-Pin Bowling and then developed an understanding of the stages of skill acquisition whilst learning how to ice skate.
