The girls volleyball team has sadly bowed out of the 2025 CHS campaign. After many kilometres, hours of practice and sets strutting the boards at stadiums the girls were unable to progress to the next round of the competition. Sad though this is, the sting bit a little deeper with the final games of Sari, Jess, Macie and Viv. Their commitment and skills will be missed as they continue their careers after high school.
My myocardial infarction (heart attack) team maintained their long standing reputation of keeping their coach on the taught line of bliss and pain by having a highly improbable, completely even, statistical draw with Ulladulla.
Wanting to keep tradition alive, the ladies would lose the first set and win the second set and in the tussle for the third be overtaken by Kiama and Monaro.
With no miracles packed in the kit bag, the opportunity to spoil the chances of Narooma and Nowra faded. Our journey was at an end.
Edie and Kahlei played valiantly till the end and are the solid bedrock for next year’s team. This was Jayce’s first campaign and she took on more responsibility and grew to being a starting player over the two tournaments.
Thanks to Mr Bugden and Mr Norris for their help and support in preparing the players; it is deeply appreciated.
