Eddie Woo Brings the Magic of Maths to Moruya High

It was fantastic to have Eddie Woo, famously known for his teaching and mathematician skills, visit Moruya High on 21-22 October.

Teachers from Batemans Bay to Bega attended a professional development session where empathy and card tricks as a hook were discussed and modelled.

Students from Years 7, 8, 9 and 11 classes as well as some stage 3 students from Moruya Public were fortunate to attend student sessions which involved discussions and inquiry where connections and observation in mathematics were modelled and discussed.

Both teachers and students thoroughly enjoyed the sessions with many of them requesting autographs and selfies with Eddie Woo.

A massive thank you to Eddie for his visit, you have truly inspired teachers and students at Moruya High School.
