Shooting Hoops

basketball game

Our basketball courts transformed into an arena as students hit the court for the much-anticipated 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. What started as a casual game of pickup hoops quickly turned into an all-out battle for glory, with teams dribbling and shooting their way to the top

Organised by some basketball-loving students, this event combined fierce competition with enough laughter to fuel the school spirit for the rest of the term.

The tournament had it all. There were moments of basketball brilliance and of course a few air balls that had the crowd in stitches. Whether it was the flashy layups, the hilariously failed passes, or the "accidental" fouls that everyone pretended not to see, every game brought its fair share of entertainment.

Bringing energy and enthusiasm to every match was Jonny A who was awarded the Best and Fairest award. Teachers even got in on the fun, playing a game and winning 12-11 in a nail biter. An honorable mention goes to Mr McNaughton for schooling some of his students on the court.

The award for best defensive player went to Jasper H with his outstanding blocks.  Rory D received the MVP for his amazing scoring ability and Leyton N received the sharp shooter for his achievements in shooting accuracy and most 3 pointers.

A special shout-out goes to the students who organised this event. They juggled schedules, coordinated teams, and somehow kept the chaos under control. And let’s not forget the players. Until next year, keep practicing your jump shots, perfecting your dribbles, and maybe working on those air balls.
