Year 12 Food Technology have examined the operations of the Australian food industry for their first HSC topic. In between exploring innovations in agriculture and food and explaining the impact the industry has on the environment and society, we’ve had some fun with our prac lessons. We have worked with produce that reflects our key food industries this term including dairy and eggs with our ice cream sandwich lesson.
Students were also tasked with creating a dish using a prominent manufactured product in the recipe. Our class creations included Bega Stringers Pork & Fennel Sausage Rolls, Weetbix slice, Arnott’s Milk Coffee tiramisu, Tim Tam shake and crumbed chicken burger and oven baked chips using Arnott’s Shapes.
