As part of our ongoing commitment to beach safety, members of the Moruya High School who are involved in Surf Life Saving, recently visited Little Lambs Preschool. We had a fun and informative session, teaching the children how to stay safe at the beach as the warmer weather approaches.
We covered essential topics like:
- Sun safety (to protect our skin from harmful UV rays)
- Staying close to a parent/guardian/adult when near the water
- Swimming between the red and yellow flags for maximum safety
- We even practiced the assistance required signal!
The kids had a great time trying on our patrol shirts and using the rescue tubes, and we hope they'll remember these important safety tips when they visit the beach with their families this summer.
A huge thank you to Noah E (Moruya Surf Club), Tristan H (Broulee Surf Club), and Mrs Eke (Moruya Surf Club) for volunteering their time and making this visit possible. We can’t wait to see everyone out on the beach this summer – stay safe and have fun!
