Christmas spirit has been in full swing in the kitchen over the last week. 9.3, 9.5 & 10.6 Food Tech classes have enjoyed making Christmas treats including rocky road, chocolate coconut balls and vanilla sugar cookies with fondant icing work. Christmas playlists were a must as the students worked their way through 700g butter, 6kg chocolate and 1.5kg marshmallows.
On Monday across four back to back classes, students coloured fondant, pressed out Christmas designs and painstakingly applied gold leaf and sprinkles to 98 cookies with some truly fantastic creations. We spent the rest of our lessons this week festively wrapping the other treats to gift to friends and family. We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.
