Rocking the Surround Sound Competition 2023

Congratulations to MHS band Joint Custody, who was one of the eight bands competing at the Surround Sound Regional Band Competition 2023 held in Sydney on Friday 24 – Saturday 25 November at the Schools Spectacular Specfest.

Our band made it to the diamond final, being in the top four and competed again on Saturday against some very strong and close competition.

Although our band did not win overall they all performed extremely well singing original songs plus a few covers.

At the end of the competition they enjoyed taking part in a jam session with other bands from schools across regional, rural and remote NSW as well as making new friends.

Students in our band received backpacks, microphones and a $300 gift card to use for school music equipment.

Well done to all our students in the band Joint Custody.  What a tremendous experience for you all.

We are all very proud of your achievement.
