Perfect Pizzas by the Support Unit Students

Support unit students and staff organised a gathering to implement educational outcomes for PDHPE – appropriate social interactions and Life Skills Food technology outcomes, use appropriate equipment and techniques in making a variety of food items and use appropriate strategies and behaviours to establish and maintain respectful relationships with others.

Students prepared their own pizza dough while also cutting deli meat, tomatoes and grated cheese. Each made their own pizza, as well as helping some friends with it. Master chef Damon maintained the pizza oven guarding the pizza placing peel which the students learned is the utensil for transferring the pizza from the work area to the oven.
